The Baton Rouge Recorder Society has a large collection of music that has been collected over the years. The music in our library was either burchased by BRRS or donated to BRRS by members and other individuals or organizations.  

As a privilege to membership, BRRS members can borrow paper documents from the library and have electronic douments from the library emailed to them. Members can use the BRRS Online Music Catalogue to see what is available.

Following is explanation of the columns found in the BRRS Online Music Catalogue:

Title

The title of the piece of music

Parts

The number of parts in the piece of music

Instr

The instrumentation of the piece of music:

Skill

The skill level required to play the music:

Composer

The name of the composer who wrote the music

Dates

Either the year the music was written or the birth and death years of the composer, whichever is available

Arranger

The name of the individual who wrote that specific  arrangement of the music

Publisher

The name of the company or individual who published that specific version of the music.

Comments

Any comments, keywords, or title of the collection from which the piece of music originally came

Type

The type of music which is available:

Qty

The quantity of copies in the BRRS library (applies to paper sheet music only)

Media

The types of media in which the piece of music is available:
